Ann-Sofie Hjertkvist
A Passionate Swedish Artist Inspired by Color and Emotion
Ann-Sofie Hjertkvist, a self-taught Swedish artist, divides her time between Sweden and the charming village of Torrox Pueblo on the Costa del Sol, where she and her family own a second home. Her love for vibrant Spanish culture, along with the sun and food, deeply influences both her life and her art.
With a strong passion for color, Ann-Sofie’s art is filled with emotion, movement, and spontaneity. She paints without a rigid plan, allowing her creativity to flow freely. Often using her bare hands, she connects directly with the colors and materials, letting her emotions guide the process. Her works, primarily abstract and painted in acrylics, are known for their vibrant colors, dynamic forms, and large formats.
Ann-Sofie’s artistic journey began in the southern Swedish countryside, where she discovered the joy of painting. Despite early struggles with the pressure to do things ‘right,’ she persevered, and today her art brings happiness to many. She collaborates with interior designers in Sweden and Spain, tailoring her work to suit a variety of spaces. Her paintings have found homes in Sweden and internationally, including in Spain.
Ann-Sofie is honored to share her work in this exhibition and hopes her paintings bring as much joy to viewers as they bring to her. Welcome to this magical place!
Ann-Sofie has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Sweden.
Lotta Lundberg
Sculptor of Human Experience and Emotion
Lotta Lundberg is an accomplished artist who works with both clay and bronze to create sculptures that explore the profound dualities of human existence. Her creative process is deeply intuitive, challenging her to uncover the delicate balance between how we see ourselves and how others perceive us. Through her work, she invites viewers to reflect on their own self-perception in relation to the world around them.
Lotta’s sculptures are designed to resonate emotionally, aiming to evoke feelings that are both enlightening and healing. “We are born with two basic emotions: love and fear,” she explains. “How we develop our self-esteem and self-confidence shapes us throughout life. My sculptures are meant to provoke thought, with humor and self-distance playing central roles.”
A fascination with the human experience has always been at the core of Lotta’s artistry. The unique encounters and stories of the people she meets inspire her work, with these interactions eventually manifesting as artistic expressions. “I aim for my sculptures to capture the essence of human experience and energy. My work reflects my passion for seeing the whole person, while I incorporate humor and emphasize the importance of self-distance.”
Lotta’s life experiences are as rich and varied as her art. A practicing Buddhist who has traveled the world, she has extensive experience working with people in crisis and has devoted over 40 years to meditation. This deep practice has given her profound insights into herself and the world, which she channels into her sculptures. Through her art, Lotta reminds us of the beauty and complexity within ourselves and the world around us.
